libxine2-plugins software package provides xine video/media player library ? meta-package for commonly-used plugins, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libxine2-plugins
libxine2-plugins is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libxine2-plugins package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libxine2-plugins *
